The joy of silent movies
A few days ago we got a collection of Buster Keaton movies from Netflix. We watched "The Cameraman" with Ethan, after explaining the concept of silent movies to him. We weren't sure he could read the words fast enough, so Jeff read a few aloud, and after that he started reading them aloud each time, which was fun. It was interesting - he couldn't usually read the whole thing aloud while it was showing, but he had clearly read it in and stored it, as he could still say it after the words had gone.
Anyway, he liked the movie. He giggled a lot, especially when Buster Keaton lost his swimming suit in the public pool. Pretty funny stuff.
