Fishy fishy
I just got back from the CTOF conference in San Diego... away from BOTH kids for the first time. Two nights. I missed them but it was a pretty good time.
Before I left we had a yummy dinner: perhaps in honor of it being Sunday night, Jeff and I cooked together. He made miso soup with clams (one of his specialities), and we grilled halibut I'd marinated in some stuff. Some veggies, some rice, and we were all set. The surprising thing was that once we got Ethan to try the fish, he said, "I LOVE it." Of course, he often says that about things that he tries, but this time he clearly really meant it, as he gobbled down quite a bit. He also tried a clam and said it was "good, but kind of chewy." He didn't want another.
Jeff had a beer with dinner, and was feeding Linna rice and fish. Towards the end of the meal, Jeff casually picked up Linna's sippy cup and took a swig, thinking it was his beer.
