Friendship

I guess now that Ethan's in kindergarten, troubles with friends are par for the course. Turns out a few weeks ago his favorite friend from last year, Hannah, told him she never wanted to play with him again. I didn't get the whole story, but it was something to do with her not sitting next to him. He said it was sad, but he's been playing with some other girls instead - so far, he hasn't gotten too into playing with rowdy boys, which I find myself grateful for. He just seems more drawn to having friends who are girls. I suspect that he and Hannah will mend things as well, but time will tell.

Lately he's been very into school - for a week or so he wasn't much interested, but his interest has gone up again. He made a book of all different kinds of landforms. He started sewing this little thing, and has said he wants to sew it all over with yarn, in decreasing boxes.

Now that he's finished even the newest Magic Tree House book, he's moved on to these "A to Z Mysteries" that he also really likes. More short chapter books. I like the Magic Tree House books better, but these are fine too.

We've been carpooling with the Bowmans, which is completely fantastic. It works great. Last week Ethan stayed at their house after Shawn picked him up, to play.
