Milk on its way
Yesterday I finally sent off my freezer stash of milk to the Mother's Milk Bank in Colorado. They made it relatively easy by sending a box with a prepaid UPS label, but I still had to get blood drawn (free at Legacy Good Samaritan, a program that's been in place for years but is seldom used), and procure dry ice for shipping. Today it arrived in Denver, so I hope some other baby will enjoy it. Apparently they're especially in need of preemie milk, from the first 4 weeks of a preemie baby. Since I pumped after every feeding while she was in the NICU, and once a day when she first got home, I had a pretty good stash. It filled a quarter of our freezer.
