Giggles
Today Linna laughed and laughed and laughed. Ethan was running from side to side in front of her and laughing, and she joined in with some good giggles. She's kind of laughed before, but this was lots of definite laughing and very cute.

What's new
Linna is really a very happy baby. She just grins and grins. She's adorable and I'm madly in love with her. Lately when she's tired she sometimes rubs her eyes, which is an astonishing feat of coordination if you think about it. She also has learned how to reach for things, though not with 100% success.
I'm finding guilty pleasure in dressing her up in girly clothes. Girl clothes are just cuter than boy clothes. We went to the Hanna Anderssen outlet and I bought her few things there, plus she got some girly stuff from Hana and Zoe. Today I dressed her in one of them, a little red gingham outfit from Japan, with cloth strawberries hanging from the straps. It's ridiculous, really. Especially since she goes through multiple outfits on most days, even with bibs, from drooling or spitting up or pooping. But then again, that's just an excuse to put yet another cute outfit on her...

New tricks
In addition to smiling beautifully quite often, Linna laughed on Sunday. Jeff was leaving town that day, and Ethan and Linna and I were in the kitchen. Ethan loves the movie "Little Einsteins," and often sings the song, which has a line that goes, "Flying through the sky, little Einsteins" (an imperfect rhyme, I know). A game we like to play is to change the first part, then come up with a rhyming word, like: "Flying through the air, little brown bear," or "Flying through the sea, little buzzy bee." I said, "Flying through the dirt, little blue skirt," which Ethan thought was hilarious. Linna was watching him, and she kind of laughed in response. Ethan was quite taken with her laugh, and tried to get her to do it again and again.
She also now reaches for things, like the buzzy bee on her bouncy chair, or me. She's very charming. Her eyes are starting to turn color, though it's hard to say if they'll be gray-green like Ethan's, or brown, or what.
