Happy girl

Linna remains one of the worlds sunniest kiddos. Well, maybe that's not true - she also cries in despair sometimes when we don't let her play with the light switch by my bed. And for other reasons. But whenever the camera comes out - bing! - she opens her mouth into this big, wide, scrunch-faced grin.

She's looking more and more like a little girl instead of a baby. I think it's the hair. She's not walking yet. She loves new toys - every now and then I go into the basement and bring up one of Ethan's old baby toys, and she just goes nuts. Loves the beads, the musical hands mat, blocks... anything she can get her hands on, really. And Ethan always has a period of wanting to rediscover the old toys, too, so they play together.

Crayons

Yesterday I bought Linna some fat crayons and her own pad of paper (Ethan needed a new pad of paper too, so I got two). She really likes drawing with lots of colors. It's great.

Kept her busy for about, oh, ten minutes while I was trying to work and Jeff and Mya were both down for the count. Later I just gave up on working and played with my girl. And my boy when he got home. Ethan liked drawing with Linna, and liked making "bubble letters".
