Moo!

Linna made a joke the other night, which still has not palled for either her or Ethan. We were going through what different animals say, like, "What does a cat say?" "Meow - hiss!" When I asked her, "What does a mouse say?" she said, "Moo!"

Ethan cracked up, so she said it again and again. Now whenever we ask her what a mouse says, she'll moo and giggle. And in the car the other day she started saying it in response to anything - what does a cat, a dog, a mouse, a car, etc. say? MOOOOO!

Be-bo

I guess we've convinced Linna to call her belly button "be-bo," which is from a very cute Sandra Boynton book. (Sandra Boynton books are great, by the way, as is her CD "Philadelphia Chickens.") Linna loves to say be-bo and point to her belly button.

A very cute new trend: she notices when there's more than one of something, and says, "Meow? Doo?" which means, obviously, "two cats." Two stars, two moons, whatever. So cute. She loves to read "Goodnight Moon" right now, and find the mouse.

On the other hand, she can be very obstinate as well. She gets a death grip on something that she wants, and it's very difficult to get it away from her. Ethan sometimes gets frustrated with her, like yesterday when she tried to take his pencil. Heck, I sometimes get frustrated with her too, especially if what she's got a death grip on is my nipple.
